From Boutique Beginnings to National Scale
What started as a 200-person conference in Santa Barbara has grown into a 1,300-attendee industry event — and Mountain View Staging has been there every step of the way.
Since 2022, MVS has partnered with Invision to support AppFolio’s annual real estate conference. That partnership builds on more than 12 years of collaboration with Invision, rooted in trust, shared standards, and a deep understanding of how to scale events without losing control.
A Full-Scale Production Environment
The 2025 conference took place at the San Diego Marriott Marquis, transforming the venue into a multi-layered event environment:
• General Session AV for all keynote programming
• 9 functional workshop breakouts for hands-on training
• Expo floor support for 40+ sponsors and partners
• Two expo theaters powered by silent disco headphone technology, allowing simultaneous sessions without sound bleed
MVS supported the entire AV ecosystem — ensuring consistency, clarity, and reliability across every space.

Technology That Evolves With the Event
As the AppFolio conference has grown year over year, so has the production.
This year, the general session LED wall expanded from 108 tiles to 340 tiles, dramatically increasing visual impact while maintaining precision and performance.
Across the venue, all digital signage was powered by MVS Marquee, simplifying execution in a fast-moving environment and eliminating the risks of outdated printed signage. Marquee enabled:
• Real-time schedule and messaging updates
• Consistent branding across sessions and spaces
• Faster pivots as agendas evolved onsite
What began as a solution to signage challenges has become a foundational tool for managing growth.

Content Capture Beyond the Stage
Beyond live programming, MVS successfully executed a broadcast cube on the expo floor — capturing real-time interviews throughout the event.
These interviews were later edited into social-ready content, extending the life of the event well beyond its three-day run and giving AppFolio valuable post-event storytelling assets.

Collaboration at the Core
The event brought together technical directors from both Invision and MVS, working in lockstep to deliver a seamless experience.
That collaboration — agency and production partner aligned — is what allowed the event to scale confidently while maintaining quality, efficiency, and creative intent.
Executing at Scale — Even on the Busiest Weeks
Notably, the AppFolio conference took place October 14–16, overlapping with Salesforce Dreamforce — one of the largest tech events in the world.
Delivering both events successfully required advanced planning, experienced crews, and disciplined resource management — a testament to MVS’s ability to support multiple mission-critical productions simultaneously.
